Ain’t care what people say about this car, looks sharp as hell! The stripes are rather minimal, and I’m still not a fan of rear spoilers that may or may not be functional, but this is a car I want very badly one day! With that badass 6.2L LT1 hell yeah! But I’d be happy with that new V6 too.

This is my most anticipated car for 2015-2016, well ahead of those new Turbo 911s, and it didn’t disappoint.

I see them as a callback to the segmented look of the 1st gens with C7 inspiration.

This thing must go fast like a rabid squirell from hell! I agree, I’m ont much a fan of spoilers myself, especially ones like these. I hope spoiler delete is an option.

I don’t see anything off about the rear quarter panel though..

Love the front, love the interior, and love the powertrain choices.

But the rear is just atrocious. I don’t know what the hell they were thinking. It looks like a chubby Malibu from the back.

Fair enough, we each have our own opinions.

In my opinion, it gets really disproportional behind the B-pillar. The fenders flare up way too much, and then you get some small brake lights.

I’m too young for such an awesome car, and this is the first ‘Murican car that’s actually built for what I want: uncompromising performance!

I just want a RWD ‘Murican pony car, I’d be happiest with the SS, but I’d be happier with the V6 than my ST no doubt about that! I’m gonna wait until the 2017MY though, as I made a promise to myself to wait at least two model years from when I got my ST to see what would happen, and boy am I glad I’ve been waiting. I also want to see if Chevy will have anything up their sleeve for the 50th anniversary for the Camaro.

Yeah I’ve been telling myself to wait for a 2017 model, but the platform has been around forever and the motor has been around for a couple years, so I’m not too worried. As for the ST, I’m glad I wasn’t an early buyer on that. I like the car but it frustrates me at the same time. Need to get the wiring harness recall fixed so I can run my air conditioner without the car dying on me lol.

And too young? How old are you? I'm 30, lol.

From the front it doesn’t look too bad. I dislike it more from the side and the rear where the ridiculously high beltline and combine with the narrower width than the last one, and the oddly shaped side quarter window, to look somewhat ungainly. Except the quarter windows actually look worse when viewed from the front of the car. It would look so much better if it were the same height but with bigger windows and a lower beltline.

How late is your car? Mines a ‘14 built in October 2013. I have seen what appears to be a little dip in the idle when I turn on the AC, but I checked my VIN and I’m not apart of the recall.

It’s not so much the platform and drivetrain I’m worried for. Rather, the fact that it’s changing factories and my families rule to wait after the first model year always unless it’s a special reason.

I'm also 19 haha. Insurance may or may not have my ass with an SS but I'm turning 20 in August.

Mine is a late 2013 build if I remember right and was listed as part of the recall when I ran the vin. I don’t see the aftermarket getting much better for them since they’re apparently going to a different engine for the next model, but who knows. All I know is the aftermarket for the GTI destroys the ST.

The worst part about being young is the insurance rates. When I got the ST last year it was the first time I've ever had a car under $100 a month. I may have had some stupid driving moments while growing up.

The aftermarket for turbocharged cars like these seems small in general compared to the NA market; which by negligible extension, includes all kinds of forced induction. But the ST twins have it worse. ;)

Insurance is the ONE thing that pisses me off being young and a car enthusiast. Can’t have any high horsepower big engine machine unless you’re like 21 and up; even if you’ve had no accidents and are a very responsible driver. Insurance needs reformation!! :p

The good: It finally looks like that concept from the Transformers movies.

The bad: I like the base level trim on the lower front fascia than on the sportier models. It just looks better proportioned (the ones to the left and right):
